So much has happened. I kept putting off blogging and before I knew it, months had passed. My sister Karen and I spent a lot of time getting my Mom's house cleared out and sold. It's a 3 hour drive for me. So, no easy task. But, now it's done and I can spend time with my mother at her assisted-living facility when I drive that far.
In the meantime, I attended my niece's wedding. My husband and I celebrated 20 years of marriage. And, we just returned from our first vacation that did not include visiting relatives. We went to the Smokey Mountains, through Cherokee, NC, and to Asheville, NC. In Asheville we went to the Biltmore Estate.
Ever feel like your world is upside-down? We saw this at Pidgeon Forge, TN
I bought some stone ground corn meal at this Old Mill in Pidgeon Forge.
My DH is afraid of heights. But, he has proof that he was at 5046 feet above sea level. This was at New Found Gap on the Tennessee-North Carolina state line. His daughter will be impressed!
