February Finale

I am so excited! The Yellow Rose cross-stitch quilt is finally, truly finished. It has a binding. I stitched all day yesterday to get it done. Today I washed it...first a soak in cold water to get out the blue embroidery/quilting markings. Then, I washed with a little soap in lukewarm water. Finally, I rinsed an extra time to make sure there was no suds left. I had pre-treated some areas that had drops of blood (mine and/or my mother's). My mother always said that quilts were made with blood, sweat, and tears. Here is the quilt in all her glory! It is actually the first time I have seen it all at once. I love it!
I still have to machine quilt the Damask Rose throw-sized quilt. Maybe tomorrow. I won't let another project take me so long to finish. I promise!
