Spring in Full Bloom

Yes, it really is spring time here in Music City. Thought I would share some of my flowers. Excuse the weeds. I prefer to quilt. Hummingbirds are showing up, too. Usually don't see until mid-summer. Feeders went out today.
Snowball Bush- Started from my mother's plant.
White iris
Yellow irises

Light purple iris.
I have no idea what this is. It is tall and more purple than in this photo.

I have been hand quilting my applique wall hanging. Here is my progress so far.

I am using black Coats hand quilting thread. I do not care much for it. I have been using Guttermann for other hand quilting and like it.

Marked and ready for some Slow Sunday Stitching. I am linking up to Kathy's Quilts.

So pretty! It has been so cold and wet that we barely have buds on our trees. Your quilting looks terrific. I really like the feathery design.

Gorgeous flowers! Irises always remind me of my mom, so I'm partial to them. I wouldn't mind knowing what those small purple flowers are. My daughter has a bunch in her garden, planted by the previous owners. Your appliqué piece is coming along nicely!

Thank you for the floral tour both in your garden and on your quilt. Beautiful.

Your wall hanging is really turning out great! Isn't it wonderful to see things blooming after that horrible winter. Weeds are an endless chore at my house too. I prefer Coats and Clark over Gutermann thread hands down, but I only like the 100 percent cotton and it doesn't come in many colors, just natural, white and at one time I had some black.

Love all your flower pics! It is snowing here in Colorado, so the bedding plants have been brought in to be planted in a few days when things warm up again!
