Pressing Situation

Yes, I am one of those quilters who hates to press. I know. I know. When making the Sister's Choice blocks, I pressed the 9 patch centers as I went along. When I began to add the star points, I did not press. I figured I could just do that all at once. Now, 72 blocks later, I think I have learned my lesson. It is taking me forever to get them pressed. If I had pressed them as I sewed I would have already had the top put together.
Meantime, Sharon and I have been getting together about once a week to work on our bargello quilts. We are making Delightful Peaks bargellos in queen size.
The pattern is by Becky Botello. Although her patterns are very easy to follow, 2 heads are definitely better than one when it comes to putting the actual rows together. Below is one of 7 panels for my quilt. We are cutting across to make the rows.
I really don't have a design wall. It is more like a "design bed". I am linking up to the Patchwork Times design wall Monday.

Have a great day!

I can't imagine what's involved in cutting all,the way along the length of those strips sewn together. Yikes! Sisters Choice is on my to-do list. Yours are looking fabulous.

Chortling! I am OCD about pressing. I have a set of sister's choice blocks that are pressed, but waiting to be sewn together. Ah, they are aging!

I like to press as I go. I have a friend who doesn't press much, I don't know how she manages but she does!
Those bargello segments are scary! I tried a bargello once and thought it was too hard. My hat is off to you.

I always regret not pressing as I go. Sister's Choice is another Bonnie Hunter quilt on my list. Love your blocks! The Bargello quilt looks difficult, but beautiful!

Your bargello is going to be beautiful! I like to press my blocks... to me they look so much better without wrinkles and flat. Now pressing the backing.... that's a different story!

I have been pressing my pieces before I stitch lately better than pinning and really has helped my accuracy. Love the sister's choice blocks and looking forward to your bargello quilt. Love the colors and have always heard they are not hard just need to stay organized so I can see where a helper might be the perfect solution.
