Happy Independence Day to the USA

Here in the USA we celebrate our independence from Great Britain. Here in Nashville there is hard rain alternating with sunshine. Sort of difficult to plan the usual fireworks and cookouts. But, unlike my visit to California everything here is a lush green from frequent, daily showers.

Speaking of green, I have finished my Sister's Choice quilt top. The star points are all a shade of green. I had also cut 2 borders for the quilt, but it is large enough for my full sized bed without them. I decided to use the green border fabric for the binding instead.
The top is spread out on my bed and over the pillows. It is quite large enough as is. The points look gray or black in this photo, but they are definitely green.I have decided to hand quilt this quilt in the Baptist Fan pattern. More on this later.

I have to admit, I did my Friday Night with Friends on Thursday night. Check out what others accomplished for FNWF.
