Last week I decided to spend the rest of this month prepping some of my planned projects. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have 6 rag quilts to make. These are for my 6 great-grandchildren. There are 3 boys and 3 girls (ages 10-1). Even with my Accuquilt GO, that a lot of flannel squares! Here are the ones I've cut for the girls so far.

I bought some of these fabrics specifically for these quilts. Others came from my stash. The pink roses on blue fabric was 3 yards of flannel I won a couple years ago at my guild Chinese auction. I will probably use those and some solid light blue flannel for the backing squares. I bought 12 yards of the solid blue with a 50% of coupon at Joann's recently. Some can also be used in quilts for the boys.
The fabrics pictured below have been around quite a while. I bought these fabrics for my grandsons and they are 25 & 26 years old now. I did make them some pillowcases about a dozen years ago. Wish I could find more flannel fabrics like these. Don't remember where I bought them. Nice grade of fabric, too. The boys will love these.

I am also planning to press the strips I have made for my bargello quilt. I brought them home from Sharon's on Monday and they are still in the plastic bag. Look at this mess!
I need to pull the fabrics for my 16-patch star quilt and cut them into 10" squares. Then, I may have a few other things to prep. I do believe it will help me to get more done in the long run. I have hung my Sister's Choice in the closet. I decided to wait until cooler weather to hand quilt it.

Enjoy your Sunday!

You have quite a lot on your plate! Your great grand children are very fortunate to have you.

First of all, you don't look anywhere close enough to being old enough to have great grandkids! Second of all, what treasures you'll be making for them. I'm hand quilting in the summer, and it gets pretty uncomfortable with a big king-sized quilt spread out all over me.
