Gloomy Week-end

We have had rain and cooler weather all week-end. Sometimes, when the days are like this, I really just want to curl up with a good book and read. But, I spent a lot of time reading last month.I read 4 books and ,surprisingly, I enjoyed them all.

I also spent a lot of time watching Craftsy videos. I got in on their deal to pay less than $10 in October and watch all the videos for free. Did any of you do this? I not only watched quilting videos, but cooking videos as well. I want to start cooking more. It can a challenge because my hubby is a somewhat picky eater.
My yummy breakfast. Bananas and Pecan Pie Granola.
Last night I made Pecan Pie Granola from a recipe on the Barbara Bakes blog. So east and delicious. Will be great on oatmeal, ice cream, or yogurt. I am making yogurt for the first time in my new Instant Pot. This pot pressure cooks, steams, sautes, slow cooks, makes rice, and yogurt. I just bought it this week. Barbara also has a blog called Pressure Cooking Today.

Later today I plan to do some slow stitching, but I really can't share it. I am making something for the Santa Sack Swap. Time is running out. Here is a teaser.

What are you slow stitching today? I am linking to Kathy Quilts.

May all your ups and downs today be with needle and thread.

I'm hand quilting my Labor Day Stars. We had rainy weather yesterday, so it was nice to see the sun shining today. It would be a nice day to get out for a walk, if I felt better. ;-)

I am anxious to see what your are making with those hexies! Thanks for your kind comment on my blog, Lakeshore Stitches. And you are so right about all the similar colors. I have given up trying to follow the pattern...just winging it with all the shading.

I found the remain Santas from the International Santa serie and it was my plan to cross stitched one and began the second. Let's stitch because Christmas is just around the corner. Beautiful color for the hexies. Have a reat week.

Pretty hexies. And thanks for the link to the pressure cooking blog. I bought a new one to can with, and really need to use it for other things.
