Slow Sunday Stitching-Nov. 22, 2015

Thanksgiving Day is just around the corner. We have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for my stitching friends, both local and online. What a wonderful community!

Today I will be sewing with Sharon for our usual Sunday Sewcial. I am first going to make a set of pillowcases to replace some my granddaughter had stolen from her car this past summer. She was in the process of moving. The pillowcases match her graduation quilt.

For some slow stitching, I am going to embroider this little saying and put in the middle of a pillow. I got the pattern here at Nana Company.
I had one block left from my Dresden plate quilt. I am going to remove the yellow center and replace it with this embroidered piece. It will be a gift.

See what others are slow stitching today at Kathy's Quilts and then, relax and slow down yourself.

May all your ups and downs today be with needle and thread.

Who would steal pillowcases?! How wonderful that you can make the replacements. The Dresden plate is pretty.

Yes! So much to be thankful for! Blogging friends are definitely on my list. Who steals pillow cases? I am glad they did not get the quilt! That is a wonderful saying you have chosen. Your Dresden block will make a lovely pillow to go with it.

How sad that your granddaughter's pillowcases were stolen...who does that sort of thing? I do love that sentiment you're embroidering & the center of that Dresden is the perfect place for it. Thanks to you for sharing all your adventures and quilts with all of us. Happy Thanksgiving!

Donna, the stitched center will be just perfect in the dresden block and will be a gorgeous pillow.
