This is my first year to be a part of the Santa Sock Swap hosted by Cheryll of Gone Stitchin' blog. The SSS began in June. We were to make an item for our partner each month through November. A sack, stocking, or tote was also to be made. The partner could choose which they wanted. My partner was Terry of Quilty-TF blog. Some have chosen to wait until Christmas to open their gifts, but official reveal day was yesterday. I could not wait until Christmas!
I wanted to share some of the goodies she made and sent to me. It was hard to believe Terry did not know me. First I opened a package with a crocheted ruffle scarf in a color to exactly match a fleece jacket of mine.
I love embroidered tea towels. She made me a lovely one. I had to smile when I saw this cute towel with the crocheted chicken topper. A couple weeks ago I had ordered a couple of chicken themed quilt project patterns.
Terry made this little Christmas pillow and blinged it out. The white beads on the tree spell out my name.
Here are a few more things she made for me.
She made a gorgeous tablerunner that is reversible.
She made several other goodies. She also sent 4
beautiful fat quarters and several sewing supplies.
My favorite gift was this lovely tote. I love the size and the fall colors.
Most of the tote bags I own are very large. Just a few days ago I was wishing I had a bag that was smaller. This will be perfect for taking a project with me when I have to spend time in waiting rooms.
May all your ups and downs today be with needle and thread.
