Made some plans

Before January 2016 is over, I thought I'd set a few goals. I have really been enjoying the Stitchin' Wisdom embroidery blocks. I have finished 2 of them (here and here). They are easy and fun to do. I plan to continue to embroider 2 per month until finished.

My Garden Charm border fabric
Of course I will continue to work on my little applique' baskets as time allows. I have those in a tote and can work on those anywhere time allows. No rush.

I have been in awe of the 2016 Craftsy BOM by Lynette Jensen. I have always wanted to do a quilt with a center medallion. Colors for Garden Charm are pulled from the focus fabric for the borders. I ordered this large floral fabric for my borders. I couldn't find a 3 yd. piece in my stash that I wanted to use for the background, so I have ordered some and should be here before the end of the month.

Besides the other quilts that I have started and those I want to start, I want to make at least one small, completed project each month. I find that I really enjoy making something that is not going to take forever to finish. I have several things planned. But, if I don't put it on a monthly agenda, they will never get done.

Meantime, I am putting the 2nd (and last) border on my Sister's Choice quilt.

Later, I will be doing whatever slow stitching catches my eye. See what others are slow stitching today at Kathys Quilts.

May all your ups and downs today be with needle and thread.

I agree about having a small project to complete each month--it will make you feel productive! I have never made a center medallion block quilt either that is a good idea for a bucket list project. Happy stitching!

You are right, sometimes we have to follow a schedule to get satisfactory results. Your picture of Sister's choice is an eye candy. Happy slow stitching.

I have always loved medallion quilts. That fabric should provide you with lots of great options. I will look forward to seeing your work on it.

I LOVED the snow pictures from your last post too. I'll bet it was a winter wonderland.
