The Weather Outside Is Frightful

It was predicted that we would get some snow today...maybe 1-2 inches mid-morning. It rained last night and the early a.m. I looked out about 4 a.m. and it was still raining. I got up about 8:30 a.m. and OMG! Lots of wet, heavy snow! This afternoon there is about 7 inches on the ground. It's still snowing!
It's beautiful, but we are not accustomed to snow and slick streets here in Nashville. Even people coming through from areas that get lots of snow are unable to drive here.
Plus, look how heavy. I'm afraid some of the limbs on my evergreen tree are going to break.

So, what's a girl to do? I finished up another block on my Stitchin' Wisdom quilt. It is just so much fun to stitch with the perle cotton. I'm loving it!
I am now appliqueing some of my little baskets for my "forever" quilt project. With this bad weather, maybe I should call them hand baskets. LOL

May all your ups and downs today be with needle and thread.

Snow days are the best sew days! Make some comfort food, drink some cocoa, and sew the day away. :0)

It is beautiful but stay at home and stitch. I don't like cold weather.
Stay warm.

Glad you were able to stitch happily during your snow day :*) I did a good bit of stitching too. Sometimes it's nice to be snowed in ... but I'm hoping it's gone before it becomes a nuisance!!! Your redwork is so sweet - I love it!
